For the first time we can step into the world of Western Australia’s insects, and experience how they see native, threatened wildflowers as their key to survival.
Six windows into their world have opened inside of the Conservation Garden. Scan them in order, or explore freely, to discover the secrets of insect vision through ultraviolet photography. Listen to their stories and unlock your free phone wallpapers to collect as you go.
On 25 September join us to explore this area of Kings Park together in search of the six windows. You'll be led by the photographer, James Wylie, who will offer insights into the stories behind insect vision and the mysterious reaction that some members of natural world have to ultraviolet light; known as biofluorescence. Meet at the Wildflower Pavilion. The only things you are encouraged to bring are your questions! Suitable for all ages! Book tickets to the walk.
If you're unable to attend the scheduled walk, the event will still be available to take part in at your own pace from 23 September - 1 October.
