Do you feel doom in the gloom? Worried about crepuscular creepers?

Join this guided walk on Friday the 13th to search for spooky things that go bump in the night within our local bushland

There are many mysterious creatures of the night that instill fear in people unfamiliar with them. While they might seem hairy and scary hiding in the shadows, when you shine a light on them you'll see they are more fascinating than frightful, and can even be our friends.

Join the Friends of Bold Park Bushland volunteer guides as we go roaming in the gloaming to look for the nocturnal animals of the bushland, and learn how their seemingly scary appearances and behaviours help them survive and be an important part of our local ecosystem (and even help us humans).

Please note that this is a ticketed event with a limited number of places available. All attendees must have a ticket.

Buy tickets from humanitix.com

This walk is approximately 2.5km and up to 2 hours long. We'll be following an established walking trail, which includes some uphill sections, so a moderate level of fitness will be required. It is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs, or those requiring mobility aids.

Wear closed-in shoes comfortable for walking and come dressed for the weather. Bring a torch to light the path and binoculars, if you have them, to help spot animals high in the trees. Please leave dogs at home as they can spook nocturnal animals.

This event will go ahead in most weather conditions, but may be cancelled (and tickets refunded) if a severe weather warning is in place at the time of the walk.
