Event information
Many of Western Australia's plants and animals are found nowhere else in the world. The south-west corner of the state in particular is recognised internationally as a global biodiversity hotspot for its unique species, with the Perth metropolitan area being central. Our remaining urban bushlands like Bold Park are key to protecting this diversity and allow us to get up close to the amazing fauna and flora that live here.
Join the Friends of Bold Park Bushland's volunteer guides this WA Day public holiday for a walk through the bushland to see and learn about some of our amazing local plants and animals.
Prepare for your walk
- Approximately 1.5 hours duration.
- Walking grade is moderate with some steeper sections; not suitable for wheelchairs and prams.
- Wear sturdy, closed-in shoes and come dressed for the weather with a hat and drinking water.
- There are no toilets in Bold Park. The nearest toilet facilities are at Perry Lakes Reserve.
- All guided walks are free and bookings are generally not required for individuals.
Please contact the Friends of Bold Park Bushland if you have a group greater than ten people who wish to attend.
Our events go ahead in rain or shine, however walks may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Refer to the notices section for current closures and service interruptions.
