Koolangka Bridge (The Kids' Bridge)
Offering a respite for sick children and their families, this colourful bridge ensures safe access to Kings Park from Perth Children's Hospital.
Koolangka Bridge, or The Kids' Bridge allows access to nature for patients and staff at the hospital, meaning improved health and wellbeing.
The bridge was designed to create a pedestrian link from the Perth Children's Hospital to Western Australia's premier parkland; Kings Park. Spanning 217 metres long and stretching over Winthrop Avenue, the three metre wide bridge offers a safe, colourful and meandering journey to Kings Park.
Upon arriving in the park, interpretive signage details the flora and fauna that can be spotted on the walk from the bridge landing to May Drive Parkland.
