The role of botanic gardens in a changing climate
Join Sue McDougall, former Director of the Western Australian Botanic Garden and presenter of The Garden Gurus for this informative and thought-provoking talk.
Ms McDougall, qualified horticulturist and landscape architect, has inspired thousands of home gardeners, landscape professionals, and local governments through her long-standing media presence, including decades at talkback radio and as Director of the Western Australian Botanic Garden. She was a driving force in the formulation and implementation of Kings Park’s first Ex-Situ Conservation Strategy and has played a key role in proactive education on major environmental challenges such as dieback, climate change, and the polyphagous shot-hole borer.
Drinks and canapes will be served from 5.30pm at the Education Green Room foyer, followed by our Festival Address guest speaker from 6.30pm.
