Event information
Bush Cadets will spend the morning working alongside the Kings Park horticultural team, contributing to conservation activities. These will include hands-on tasks such as building a Quenda cubby to support local wildlife.
Following this, your child will enjoy free time in Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park, providing an opportunity to explore and unwind in a natural environment.
After lunch, the focus will shift to practical bush skills, including:
- Shelter building
- Navigation
- Fire lighting
- Damper making
- Snake bite first aid
This engaging day combines environmental stewardship, outdoor exploration, and essential survival skills.
Suitable for ages 10 – 15 years.
- This is a drop-off activity; parents must complete enrolment and health information prior to the date.
- Bring your own morning tea, lunch and refreshments.
- Suitable clothing for the weather conditions to be worn, including a rain jacket and enclosed footwear.
