Lightscape: calling kids for a community collaboration!
Winners have been announced. Thank you to all entrants!
Updated: 7 May 2025
Thank you to the hundreds of children, their teachers and parents for all the amazing entries received for our Lightscape 'Lantern Luminance' competition. The response to the call-out was overwhelming, and as such took longer than expected to determine the winners. Thank you for your patience!
We could only select 88 of the incredible artworks received to appear as part of the Lightscape lantern display. All 88 winners have now been contacted via email.
Of these, 10 entrants have also won a free family pass to Lightscape. A huge congratulations to:

Competition is now closed.
Kings Park is calling out NOW for submissions for our ‘Lantern Luminance’ display as part of Lightscape 2025.
We are excited to announce a special collaboration opportunity for children of Perth to see their art on display as part of this year's Lightscape event at Kings Park in June and July.
Lightscape 2025's mesmerising light and sound trail will include a field of illuminated lanterns featuring creatures and critters created by local kindy and school children.
Art pieces can be painted or drawn from pollinators that ‘can’t live without you’, such as the honey possum and the banksia, the wasp and the orchid and the wattle bird and mallee.
Winning pieces will decorate the exterior of a lantern shade and the top ten will win a family pass to the Lightscape Preview Night.
Entries close 31 March 2025 and the winners' artworks will be on display at Lightscape from Friday 13 June – Sunday 27 July 2025.
For more information about the competition and how to enter visit Lightscape.
Lightscape tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via Ticketek.
