Calling Our Creative Community: Help Us Stay Wild

We’re inviting the community to be part of something truly special for our upcoming Everlasting Kings Park Festival. This year’s theme is 'Stay Wild' and we’re looking for your help to bring it to life in a beautiful, sustainable way!

We’re seeking small jars that have been creatively transformed into unique works of art to be used in our Perfect Specimens native cut flower display at Aspects of Kings Park from 18 September - 4 October 2026.

This is a wonderful opportunity to: 

• Get creative 
• Support sustainability and recycling 
• Be part of a shared artistic display 
• Contribute to our Everlasting Kings Park Festival  

Our Manager of Living Collections will select the jars that best fit the display. We will endeavour to put any additional jars on display elsewhere in the Everlasting Kings Park Festival (pending available space and numbers received).

Whether you’re an experienced artist or just love a crafty project, we’d love to see your wild ideas come to life! 

What we’re looking for: 

• Decorated jars no taller than 20cm and no wider than 10cm 
• Reused or recycled materials encouraged (think jam jars, spice jars, bottles – anything you can give new life to!) 
• Decorated or designed to reflect the 'Stay Wild' theme - let your imagination run free! Think nature, wildflowers (must be native!), textures, colour, or anything that feels untamed and wild.

How your jar will be used: 

Your creation will become part of our Perfect Specimens cut flower display, showcasing the beauty of both nature and community creativity. Each jar will feature the name of its creator, so you’ll be celebrated as part of the display. 

How to participate: 

Please deliver your finished jar to Kings Park Administration on Kattidj Close by 5pm, Friday 4 September 2026.

Please include your name, contact phone number and a short description (1 - 2 sentences) of your design inspiration so that you can be credited in the display. 

Be sure to visit Aspects of Kings Park from 18 September - 4 October to see your jar on display, along with a stunning selection of some of the most beautiful flowers of the season.

Jar collection:

Jars can be collected at the end of the Everlasting Kings Park Festival from the Kings Park Administration building on Kattidj Close between Wednesday 7 October – Wednesday 21 October 2026. After this time, any jars not collected will be recycled.
