The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority is proud to announce that Sue McDougall, Director of the Western Australian Botanic Garden, has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours.
A report by Deloitte Access Economics has revealed the incredible value of Kings Park, Bold Park and the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (BGPA) to the Western Australian community.
Botanic Gardens Week, running from 19–25 May, is a chance to recognise the vital role that botanic gardens play in conserving plants, combatting biodiversity loss, and strengthening our connection with nature.
